Why Continuous Thermal Monitoring?

Continuous Thermal Monitoring (CTM) is a sophisticated system ensuring optimal performance and safety for industrial operations.

It involves the deployment of specialised sensors strategically placed on critical equipment and components to measure temperature variations in real time – providing a continuous flow of temperature data, crucial for maintaining system integrity and efficiency.

  • 24/7 real time thermal monitoring
  • Early detection of developing failures
  • Monitor critical, hard-to-access equipment
  • Real-time alerts when temperature thresholds are exceeded
  • Reduce the need to open energized equipment
  • Prevent costly downtime and accelerate ROI
  • Align with NFPA 70B and IEEE 2969 maintenance standards

Continuous Thermal Monitoring Solutions

Multiple products for low to medium voltage applications

Fibre-based
Phosphor Thermometry
Ideal for Systems Rated ≥ 1000 Vac
Thermistor-Based
Thermal Monitoring
Ideal for Systems Rated  600Vac

Hot Spot Monitor (HSM 600)

Low Voltage Continuous Thermal Monitoring (CTM) system for equipment up to 600V

  • Highest standard of 70B compliance
  • Powered thermistor-based sensors permanently install directly to key parts of equipment.
  • An indicator light and alarm system alert you if temperature goes beyond set levels
  • Catches signs of overheating early before incidents like sparks, fires, and arc flashes occur.
Continuous Thermal Monitoring for Low-Voltage Applications
Designed for Systems up to 600 VAC

The GraceSense™ HSM 600 delivers distributed Continuous Thermal Monitoring (CTM) for low-voltage electrical systems operating up to 600 VAC. Using thermistor-based temperature sensors, the HSM 600 provides accurate, real-time thermal visibility across switchgear, MCCs, and power distribution panels.

Unlike periodic infrared thermography inspections, the HSM 600 monitors continuously under live operating conditions to detect developing thermal issues before they lead to downtime or safety incidents. Built-in alarming, scalable architecture, and seamless PLC/SCADA integration via Modbus TCP/IP or EtherNet/IP™ support proactive, condition based maintenance programs aligned with NFPA 70B guidance.

Hot Spot Monitor (HSM)

Medium Voltage Continuous Thermal Monitoring (CTM) system for equipment greater than 1000V

  • NPFA 70B Compliance
  • Powered thermistor based sensors permanently install directly to key parts of equipment.
  • An indicator light and alarm system alert you if temperature goes beyond set levels
  • Catches signs of overheating early before incidents like sparks, fires, and arc flashes occur.
Continuous Thermal Monitoring for Low and Medium Applications – Ideal for Systems Above 1000VAC

The GraceSense™ Hot Spot Monitor (HSM) delivers continuous thermal monitoring for electrical systems operating above 1000 VAC. Using fiber based phosphor thermometry with permanently mounted, non-conductive sensors, the HSM provides 24/7 temperature visibility at critical connection points without introducing conductive components into energised compartments.

Unlike intermittent thermography inspections, the HSM monitors continuously under live operating conditions and supports NFPA 70B continuous thermal monitoring guidance. Built-in alarming and plant-wide integration via Modbus TCP/IP or EtherNet/IP™ enable proactive, condition-based maintenance strategies.
